Lawrence Medina, MBA

Lawrence Medina is the Executive Director for Rio Grande ATP, an intensive outpatient treatment program for substance use disorders, serving the communities of Las Vegas, Taos, and Raton. He recently managed the startup of Sangre de Cristo House, a women’s transitional living program, serving pregnant women, women with children, and women transitioning from the correctional system. In 2001, Mr. Medina led an award- winning organization, Concerned Parents of Pueblo that received the “National Family Volunteer Day Award” by the Points of Light Foundation in Washington, DC.

He has served on many boards and advisory committees such as the Con Alma Health Foundation, Recovery Communities of New Mexico, and five years with the Center for Substance Abuse Treatment, National Advisory Council in Rockville, Maryland.

Currently, he serves as a board member at the local, state, and national levels: Taos County Health Council; Behavioral Health Providers’ Association of New Mexico; Faces and Voices of Recovery in Washington, DC, and has been on the New Mexico SABG Block Grant’s Independent Peer Review Committee since 2010.

Mr. Medina holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.
